Pregnancy and birth are a significant, life-changing, sacred experience that can be empowering on all holistic levels, no matter the circumstance.
Compassion is vital while creating a supportive, nurturing and healing atmosphere as birth creates impacting and imprinting memories. Having an unmedicated birth is the ideal way for a baby to be brought earthside, as drugs during labor can alter epigenetic and cellular health. However, the use of life-saving medications is justified.
“Natural childbirth may not be for every mother, but it is for every baby!”
-Susan McCutcheon
Every woman has the right to select their own healthcare provider and give birth wherever they choose. Women should remain healthy throughout their pregnancy for freedom of choice and safest outcome. Good nutrition, combined with supplementation, is the best way to achieve this. Diet is primary, with herbs being secondary, and herbs are considered a whole food.
“Midwives believe that every woman has a right to a safe, satisfying birth in the setting of her own choice with respect for human dignity, sensitivity, and informed choice.”
-Mercy in Action
Women are allowed to make informed decisions for their own care and for their newborn’s care. Self-determined care is based on a person’s own personal belief and lifestyle according to their understanding, awareness, and connection to their body, mind and spirit.
I provide skilled, compassionate care as a certified professional midwife while helping my clients be informed and empowered throughout their childbearing years and beyond. With expertise and a foundation in natural birth and holistic care, I offer evidence-based, informed-choice support, tailored to one’s personalized priorities and preferences.
My hope is that you, the expectant mother, experience a healthy pregnancy and a peaceful journey as you navigate your birth path. May it be a smooth, positive transition for you and your family. May grace and ease be with it.
wishing you the best,
